A good CAT 2 coming in at the right angle can push Tampa Bay right up into the city. Bear in mind that the New Orleans area did not get hit with a Cat 4 Katrina. Katrina only had around Cat 2 winds in and around NO. A cat 4 east of Tampa Bay could cause less damage than a cat 2 just to the west.A great site for track graphics is www.skeetobite.com. It almost missed Cuba entirely. Also it was such a small storm that it was easy to intensify rapidly. By the time it made landfall, it was more like a 10-mile-wide tornado.I was referring to the trajectory... as well as size... this will be a very compact storm most likely.
