Like it or not, this is a rivalry, at least in baseball.  We've played each other over 100 times on the diamond, and the All Time record is something like 52-50 in USF's favor.  If thats not a rivalry I don't know what is.  I think the only other team that we've played more than UCF is Stetson, so I consider them both to be rivals in baseball terms.

If you are saying this isn't a rivlary you're kidding yourself.

Yes they do.  I got this quote from the UCF message board.  Yes sometimes I read their board after we play in a sport.

"Cozy put a lot of emphasis on these guys to win this **** game. That is what many have been clamoring for and he is giving it. The moment they stepped off the field after the win at Tulane he began stressing this game to them."

I laugh at the "put a lot of emphasis....", as in they "weren't trying to win" their previous games against USF.  As usual many of them are in denial...

I think those signs/reaction would have been there for any team we would have played if their coach got fired less than a week before the game for doing that. We play Notre Dame next weekend in Tampa, if their coach gets fired in the next 3 days for um....something that interesting, the student section will give them hell for it too.
