Last year the Big East football schedule was already out. USF issued their press release Feb 1, 2007. Why is this so hard to get out? In fact, the Big Ten has their conference schedule through 2010 released already. Is it really that complicated?

Yes, it really is that complicated.

We are an 8 team conference so we are often at the mercy of getting our out of conference schedules firmed up.  Many times things get adjusted for TV offers which has a domino effect on the rest of the schedule.

They put together the referees' schedule at the same time...I heard they were working on a conflict for the USF-Rutgers game in Tampa....something about having the right crew there....

:D

As long as it is a different crew then what we had in NJ this year I will be happy.

Keep in mind that for last year, the Auburn game changed (and thus other dates with it) from the first schedule release to the finalized one.

I don't mind waiting an extra week (or three) for something that will be set in stone.  It makes it easier to request vacations early without having to change them (like I had to last year).

Yep, relax a bit.  We have plenty of time for the schedules.

Big East says it's likely end of next week. There's one game that's apparently holding things up ...
