Honestly I have never paid much attention to this kind of stuff but now I am curious...  Just curious what kind of things could come out of the Moffitt tabloid debacle...

The type of violation determines the sanction.  In this case, even if the allegations are true it is one person who cheated.  Nothing like the FSU case where you had numerous people and where folks in the institution were complicit.  If it is true, I expect Ben to be disciplined by the university but no NCAA sanctions.

So you would have to prove that people in the organization knew about it and didn't do anything?  I would just hate to see all the other people on the team suffer for this kind of BS.

It would be a stretch for USF to get sanctioned.  How are they supposed to "know" what happens in this kids home.

NCAA Sanctions are not an issue unless something is widespread.   This sounds like a wife doing her husbands work, not her doing the entire team's work.  It may end up in him being investigated and could cost him a degree (and possibly some issues at NFL Draft time) but it shouldn't affect the team unless it affects multiple players.

We will be fine.

If USC isnt on probation yet, then we'll be fine.

Yeah true, but then again did the coaches KNOW that Reggie Bush was getting some sweet benefits?

USC could have all of their players go bomb New York City and they still wouldn't get sanctions, same with Ohio State.

AND they would automatically get ranked #1 no matter what Beavers or Stanfords they lose to.
