sorry for the smazza editing, iPhone is too much trouble to correct. Anyway, I am enjoying the happy hour in the embassy suites el paso. Its chilly here, but if the wind settles down tomorrow I think it will be nice.

Near luggage issue at the airport, but called jonie l, who's bag looks a little like mine, we met back at the baggage claim and made the swap. Golf clubs made it fine.

El paso is desperately in need of more bulls. Did see some fellow fans in the airport. For those heading this way tomorrow, have a good trip. For the rest, I will try to give an update tomorrow. I think we are heading to NM tomorrow.

It's supposed to warm up and wind die down the next few days.  Expecting calmer winds and highs of around 60 for Sun/Mon.

Some things to consider... USF is on the WEST side of the stadium, which means the sun will be setting behind us... with an 11 mile per hour breeze blowing from over our left shoulder, shifting to directly left... if the temp averages 58 degrees and the wind averages 10 miles per hour, it will feel like it's in the low 30s or upper 20s... especially in the shade (later in the game).

Still, coming from the North --- this is FOOTBALL WEATHER!!!

Jim, I am also from the north and have to strongly disagree.  As a guy who played in cold weather, that is not football weather.  It is miserable for the fans and the players.  The only people who think that is "football weather" ar the ones who don't have to play in it.  My worst memories of football games growing up are the cold weather games.  75 degrees and no wind is football weather, because it is perfect and allows for optimal performance from the players without the weather playing a factor in the game.

*steps off soap box*

Well, I never played in HS ... but I played sand lot tackle football all the time... and I absolutely loved the fall... the crisp air... temps in the 50s or 40s... The cold smell of the ground that was torn up by cleats... The grey, overcast skies... ah, the memories.

Sorry, jd, but I love football in the cold... feels like... Victory.

Most of my body likes the cold weather, except my ears. Even when its slightly chilly, I get serious pressure in my ears when I excersize outdoors. No idea why.

Football in the cold is FOOTBALL.  Now the wind.........that's another story.  Cold shouldn't be a factor to our team.  But the wind could affect the passing and kicking game alot for both sides.

Pitt was cold, and we did fine there. So the cold shouldn't be a problem, you're right Joe.

But if it's windy...that's a different story
