No. WVU beat them.

UConn and WVa are both BE Co-champions. The head to head component only comes in for the BCS selection. That's why USF is tied for third, even though Cincy beat USF.

Has WVU ever won the Big East title outright?

According to the BE wiki entry and the College Football Database, WVa won the title outright in '93 and '05. They shared the title in the following years.

'03 Miami/WVa

'04 BC/Pitt/'Cuse/WVa

'07 UConn/WVa

so they have two full titles, two half titles, and a quarter title.

equaling 3 1/4 conference titles

I hate this "co-champions" crap. There should be only one conference champion.

From WVU website:

Big East Champs!

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Connecticut came into Morgantown hoping to compete for a Big East championship - and it did for a half. The second half was another story. The Mountaineers scored 42 second-half points to roll to a 66-21 victory over the Huskies Saturday evening.

WVU is a good team they are not great! their coaches the same.

great teams/coaches do not lose "that" pitt game with the NC on the line.

(USF is in the same catergory)
