Just curious, is a Passport required to drive into Mexico?  Or does the Birth Certificiate and ID still work?

I know that they changed the law...but i thought I read recently that because it was taking so long for everybody, that they had extended the deadline a little bit...and thus a Birth Certificate and ID would still work?

Heck, getting into Mexico is easy. The hard part is getting out and entering the U.S. Especially if you have dark hair and a tan.  ;)

its not needed currently (only a drivers license) but that is changing soon

also... if you have never been to mexico..

stick to the tourist area... do NOT stray.. especially at night

do NOT mouth off to the local cops (even the ones in jeans)... or even look at them wrong

most places prices are "negotabile" and accept american money

dont carry a wallet.. carry your money in your front pocket

dont go anywhere alone

do not try to smuggle anything back.. drugs, turtles, whatever... you dont want that hassle

No. Travel by land into Mexico or Canada won't require a passport until Jan 30, 2008.

does this mean the last year for Int' bowl?

Very good advice.  We're planning to hit Juarez during the day Saturday...

Will definitely keep this in mind! Thanks!!

doubt it.  most college alumns have passports.

it would be nice to get rid of that bowl though.
