How many tie-ins does the Big Televen allready have?

If they were ranked top 14 they would get the at large bid for BCS over any other at large team, the Big East allready allows 1 game differential bowl selection instead of forcing bowls to select teams by seed the way the PAC-10 appears to. So as long as ND was reasonably competitive they'd still get to go to the best bowl available. The big problem with ND in the Big East is that they're a tradition school and they have virtually no tradition with the football schools in the Big East. They'd need to use all their OOC games playing their typical opponents. Of course then they'd probably have a lock on SoS for eternity but I think having winning seasons is more important to them than kings of the narrow road. The whole reason the BE got the Gator Bowl affiliation was because of the ND part of the deal in the mid 90s. The Gator Bowl would gkadky drop the BE for the SEC or Big 10 so the ND affiliation is our only big grasp to hat bowl still. They started to phase us out with the Big 12 option. So lets be greatful.A NY bowl or any other northern bowl will be no better than the Int'l or PJ. Northern bowls don't work. It's proven, that is why every big game is in the southern portion of America. The conference needs to travel. Thanks to Pitt not selling their share of tix to the Fiesta Bowl we've had problems killing this image.

However, I'd love to see one in Lucas Oil in Indy once it's completed.
