College Football News is also predicting USF to the Gator and a Big12 (Texas Tech) to the Sun.  Coincidence?

maybe the 2 BE & 2 Big 12 over a four year period is just an agreement and subject to negotations between the two Bowls. This Texas Tech or Texas to the Sun Bowl and USF to the Gator Bowl seems to make to much sense not for the two bowls to take a look at. The Gator could give Notre Dame to the Sun Bowl next year if they are "bowl worthy", although I do not think they will get to six wins.

JMHO..........

The Sun and Gator could have come to an agreement with each other and the conferences for this year.  Honestly, the Sun is a better fit for a Big 12 team because of the draw and I'm sure they'd love to have a Texas versus Cal matchup.  The Gator would like to have something better than Texas Tech and USF would be a solid draw for them while providing a boost in ratings in the SE while BC brings in the NE.

It's possible that something may have happened.  Maybe they're not liking the deal with the Big 12 now so much with the BE looking much better.  That could be a good sign for the next set of negotiations for the conference.

The only problem I see with this is...

Why would the sun bowl have a poll about big east teams on their web site if they weren't taking one?

Pack the bags for El Paso, I don't think the Gator is going to happen.

If a deal is being worked, it is far from finalized apparently.

I think the fans, the conferences, and the bowls would all rather have us in Florida and Texas or TTech in Texas, so they may be working a deal this year.  Usually Texas isn't going to be available for the Sun Bowl.

I hope at the very least that the two committee's are exploring that scenario a little.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
