I hate to get down on the new coach already but would McCollum have lost to Cleveland State, Buffalo, and be on the verge of losing to Rhode Island?

McCollum could lose with the best of them.  I'm sure he'd be able to get beaten by those fine institutions.

We won 3 Big East games last year, we're returning Kentrell Gransberry who is "The Best Player You've Never Heard Of" according to SI and ESPN the Magazine yet we can't beat 3 inferior teams. Yeah Rhode Island is good but would they beat any other Big East team? I don't think so.

"Bethune-Cookman also picked up a notable win during the year when it stunned Big East foe USF in overtime, 75-68."

I think they could play with about 4 Big East teams. Seton Hall comes to mind.

Rezz is a basketball expert. He knew that Coach Mac was the next Roy Williams.

Looks to me that Heath inherited a bigger mess than it even was thought.  It appears to me that it was McCullum's style to play to keep the score down to not expose the inadequacies of the team.  We would never be in a position to win more than a handful of games ever. Heath is going to play to win, not just keep the score close,.  It looks like he has very little to work with.  It will be a couple of years at least before we see improvement in the W-L record.  it is going to take a lot of patience with this BB team.

It's going to take some time.  Just hopefully not 4 or 5 years.  >:D
