I've seen every team from Men's BB to Women's Sailing honored @ halftimes and they always introduce each person, show a closeup of them on the jumbotron, etc.

Our Inaugural football team gets nothing?  Yes, the announcer said "welcome our inaugural football team" but that's it?

That was a worse performance than our current team put in on Saturday!

You know...that did strike me as odd as well. I wonder what the line of thinking was?

Could it be added time pressure (it was already almost six o'clock) and they needed to

move on? It couldn't have been that hard to put together a roster of who was in attendance

that day from '97.

Just didn't sit well with me either.

If they were going to make it that short, they should have done it after the 1st QTR when more people were in the crowd.

at lease us fans showed respect.  I saw plenty of fans still in their seats and giving a standing ovation

But they had time for that over played out Hit Hootie, that stupid cart race and that pot belly chick trying to throw a football (I wouldn't doubt that she asked "which end do you hold it")?

Yes, people stood and clapped but it could have been a lot better.

In my opinion these are the type of things that separate a good football team from a school with a GOOD PROGRAM.  When you honor someone or a team you do it in a classy and dignified manner.  Same goes with the way we approach the media after games and before games.  Same with the way the ticket problems were handled.  It's a lot of the little things that make up a good program.  That comes from having gone through thes type of things.

These are all things that will come with time and trhe xperience of having been there before.

Just my opinion.

They should've found a sponser for the honoring, then they could've spent more time celebrating them. Talk up the USF Ford Tradition team of '97 or whatever. That's why they cut it short, needed the room for cash positive events.
