Anyone know much about the Huskies this season?  Any apparent strengths or weaknesses?

This might be a tough one coming off that loss.  I hope our guys are focused and not too down!

I watched a good portion of the game against UL and I have to say in my gut I thought, "We're going to destroy this team."

The biggest reason myself and a friend of mine thought (FSU fan) is that no matter how bad USF's offense does, our defense should easily SHUT DOWN UConn to the point they'd be lucky to score ten points.  Louisville is TERRIBLE on defense and UConn couldn't really do much against them despite getting some advantageous field position.  If not for that horrendous blown call, UConn loses that game.

I think USF will absolutely wreak havoc on par with the UCF and UNC games and that the offense will do just enough to pull out the win.  If we concentrate on running the ball and do it well, UConn has NO CHANCE at winning this game.  All we have to do is not be worse than -2 in the turnover battle and we'll win this game.  If we're at all positive in that stat, we'll BLOW THEM OUT.

Other than their own brand of trickeration, I saw a running back that seemed pretty good...their QB ( a converted WR) was pretty good on the run and not too bad a passer in the part of the UConn/UL game I saw.

We need to get back on the horse and win this game.  A UNC like performance would be nice.

Their current QB Lorenzen is a JUCO transfer and pretty good from the limited minutes I've seen him play.  Their former QB Hernandez is now a WR.

They have a decent quarterback and an okay running back.  They are undefeated.  I'm sure we will see the same defensive game plan of keeping Grothe contained and making us win by passing.

Is he related to the Kentucky quarterback a few years ago?

Don't think so.

What makes you think we can start a running game in week 7?  Other than the game at FAU there has been no evidence of a running game (from running backs)

"If not for that horrendous blown call, UConn loses that game."

How in the world did you come up with that analysis?

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
