  1. Unfortunately, I think he'll turn it down when he realizes what he's getting into. Sorry for the pessimism. Not many selling points to a recruit. No practice facility, low fan attendance.......
  2. Any surprises that we didn't know about??
  3. She's also in the back page of yesterdays TBT.
  4. I'll try listening to the link at work. Last time, I tried it in the car on the way home and couldn't get the station. :-/
  5. For those who aren't on campus. Can someone give us a update if there is any new information? Thanks.
  6. Doesn't she work for a competing store? Sounds like a conflict of interest. Personally, I don't see a problem if the sell merchandise that sells better than Bulls gear. In order for these places to make a profit, they need to move merchandise. If Bulls stuff isn't selling, then they have to look elsewhere. When the Bulls are higher on the national spotlight list, I'm sure businesses like this can strictly cater to Bulls fans. Until that time, I'm just happy I can find Bulls gear being sold at more than one place.
  7. Actually, it wasn't a fake reverse pass. I think the quarterback threw it to a wideout and then he threw it across the field to the runningback.
  8. We left right after the game and everytime we made a pit stop and got back on the road, we'd pass a few more USF flags. For a while, it seemed like nothing but USF fans on the road. About 2:30 am, my eyes were blurred so I pulled over at a rest stop for a 15 minute nap. When I got back on the road, it was kind of fitting to see an SUV with USF plastered all over it pull off at the Fowler exit as I passed by. I made the drive with my 14 year old son and we both had a great time. I don't think he'll ever forget that first bowl game. The only real complaint I had was the crappy sound system at the stadium.
  9. Okay, I called and they'll be waiting for us in Birmingham. Thanks for the input.
  10. I placed my order online through the USF link 4-5 days before the 14th. I haven't received anything yet. Has anyone else had any problems? If I don't see them in today's mail, would calling the ticket office help at all? Thanks.
  11. I was going to try and carpool with someone because my brother cancelled on me. Are you willing to chip in for some of the gas money and help out with some of the driving? I might decide to make the drive.
  12. I'm sure he would if they'd GIVE HIM THE BALL!!!  And for the love of GOD don't call a draw as your running play when the UL defense is rushing 6-8 players every other down!  I agree 100% 11 carries for 52 yards with a 4.7 average is not bad. I'm still wondering why we didn't run it more in the first half when our passing game was sputtering.
  13. Just because Rutgers beat Louisville, doesn't make our game with the cards and mountainteers any easier. I don't see our defense pressuring Brohm like Rutgers did.
  14. Oh, I know, at the Big Hand Tall Store
  15. I saw the hand on the jumbo tron the last time you brought it. It kicks butt. Where does one buy a hand that big??
  16. We wait 6 weeks for him to return and then we don't use him. I'm not going to knock Williams, but he is a walk on and he doesn't hit the hole as quickly as Ponton does.
  17. If it was any other position, I might question it. We continue to have talented receivers every year, although they might not always perform to full potential.
  18. I voted as much as I could. I think they have some North Texas guys locked in their basement voting around the clock....
  19. Defense played well enough to win. If it hadn't been for the goofball fake punt, who knows what might have happened. It was not the right time or field position for it. If we had hit the endzone instead of the interception, I think it would have been a different game. Grothe looked like a freshman, but I'm sure he'll bounce back. I know, shoulda, woulda, coulda. I was disappointed that we didn't have a better showing on ESPN. Cincy came out smelling like roses. In addition to the win, the announcers talked about their brand new athletic facilities during the game. On a side note, the USF commercial during the game was lame compared to Cincy's.
  20. Have they watched Benzer kick?? If it comes down to it, you can bet Cincy will call a timeout to "ice" the freshman kicker. I'm sure he'll be fine. Go Bulls!!!
  21. I don't know Mutt, but you might be misinterpreting his post. I think he stands when there is a big play or a 3rd down when our defense needs the support. The announcer even says "Stand up for your Defense". I stand up at various times of the game, but the rest of the time, I'm cheering and clapping from my seat. I really don't see any problem with that.
  22. I really hope he makes a difference when he comes back. I'm not sure if the lack of a running game can be solely placed on the walk-on running backs. I've seen quite a few plays where the running back is hit in the backfield before he even gets to the line.
  23. ....and it was Nationally televised....
  24. These kinds of stories piss me off because I wish there were more fans like you in my section. On 3rd down and our defense is on the field, it feels like I'm the only one clapping or cheering. Everyone else is sitting on their hands.
  25. One of my brother's friends actually broke his leg at the Louisville game when he tried to rush the field. I guess there's a reason why they don't want people doing it.
