Not sure if this was talked about but, after Grothe took that sack on first down on our last drive, why did we spike the ball on 2nd down?  I was really buzzed when watching but from what i remember there was at least a minute left and I know the clock was running, but does USF really have a 3rd and 22 play call?  Dont you think we should have aired it out towards the sideline or have grothe run around the end and maybe try to get out of bounds?  Anything is better than voluntarily taking a 3rd and 22 on the last and most crucial drive.  I mean that was the play that took all the wind out of my sail and I said to myself for the 1st time that game "we are going to lose".

It's been debated in other threads; I think we unanimously agreed in our Friday Morning Quarterbacking it was a bad decision by MG.

Is that MG's decision?

It's a sophomore mistake... he won't make it again... FWIW... I would take Grothe to war with me anyday regardless...

He learned from it, I'm sure. After he did it multiple players came over to him talking and he had that look of oops on his face. He still played a GREAT game. One bad decision. Didn't lose the game for us.

Since the camera panned over to Leavitts face and his head snapped back like he just got punched in the face... STUNNED was probably an understatement to describe him.

Grothe cost USF thier first game, next week it will happen again.

Last time I checked, West Virginia lost to us.  You lost your right to talk 3 weeks ago.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
