Week 8

1) USF's Game

THU 10/18 - #2 USF (6-0, 1-0) at #33 Rutgers (4-2, 1-1)

As mulheap said at the game today: This isn't a rivalry. It's a beat down.

2) Games involving one or more schools on USF's 2006 schedule.

FRI 10/19 - Louisville (4-3, 1-1) at #35 Connecticut (5-1, 1-0)  - 8:00pm [ESPN]

SAT 10/20 - Mississippi State (4-3, 1-3) at #9 West Virginia (5-1, 1-1) - 3:30pm [GAMEPLAN]

SAT 10/20 - Buffalo (3-4, 3-1) at Syracuse (1-6, 1-2) - 4:00pm [ESPNU]

SAT 10/20 - Tulsa (4-2, 2-1) at Central Florida (3-3, 1-1) - 4:00pm

3) Games involving Notre Dame because of its ties to Big East bowl games.

SAT 10/20 - #13 Southern California (5-1, 3-1) at Notre Dame (1-6) - 3:30pm [NBC]

NOTE: Chances are Notre Dame will not be bowl eligible.  Once Notre Dame is not eligible, we won't need to watch their games.

4) Games involving at least one team ranked higher than the 2nd highest Big East team.

If the highest and 2nd highest teams can move up and up the polls, then there is at least a chance that 2 Big East teams could make the 10 BCS slots.  Big East ranks: BCS #2 USF, BCS #9 West Virginia

5) Games involving a Top 12 non-BCS team, or a Top 16 non-BCS team ranked higher than any BCS conference's highest ranked team.

If no teams from the non-BCS conferences make the BCS, then that would mean 4 at-large slots in the 5 BCS bowls.  This increases the chances for 2 Big East teams to be selected.

No Mid-Major Team is ranked in the Top 12 or ahead of the lowest BCS conference leader (BCS #8 Arizona State ).  Highest ranked non-BCS team: BCS #18 Hawaii

IDLE: #17 Hawaii (7-0, 4-0)

My wife went to Mich state and no matter what the line I think they match up well with OSU. Should be fun saturday if we get through Thursday unscathed. I believe we will but it will be a fight.

4) Games involving at least one team ranked higher than the 2nd highest Big East team.
