Today, you can own a piece of Knights history....and just think, you might just find this purchase as your ticket to becoming the next Notre Dame head coach.

Based on the most recent loss to the USF Bulls by a score of 64-12, this item just may have been used too many times. However, we find it necessary to offer this to anyone that might need some assistance in their coaching profession.

If you can do the following, this is the auction for you:

- make excuses based on others performance, not yours

- point to one or two plays in a particular game that you lost that 'might' have changed the game

- refuse to take ownership of losses

- begin a press conference with "I'm really proud of the way our boys played today"

- manage to find a QB that needs to do nothing more than 'not lose the game for us'

- or hire and fire offensive coordinators (passing game / running game coordinators) at random

The history of this item dates back two decades, but has recently become commonplace in the hearts of many Knights fans. The oft used phrases "We were this close" and "I'd like to have that play back", signifies the beginning of coachspeak that signals a moral victory has been won.

This item has been used many times in the last couple of months as the Knights have typically been one or two plays away from being undefeated.

This item is heavily used. It is not brand new, not even remotely close to being new, and does not claim to be original. However, this item has many many future uses as long as the Knights continue with their current coach.
