Do we get to have Big East officials again this week?

I sure hope so.  They helped out nicely with that bogus punt catch interference call late in the game Saturday.  I'm guess its going to be CUSA officials with the road team typically bringing the refs, but hoping we'll get our Big East.

It doesn't necessarily go with whomever is the road team, I think these regulations are stated in the contract between the two schools.  Remember, for the Auburn game the game was officiated by the SEC.

the kick catching interference wasn't 100% bogus.  There was a little contact between the coverage guy and the player that knocked into Johnson.  I almost want to say Johnson shouldn't have ran up to catch it, but if he didn't we could have had nasty field position.

FAU has a pretty terrible punter from what I recall.  Maybe they we re kicking it away from Johnson, but I kind of doubt it.  He hasn't done anything super spectacular yet, but every punt they had seemed to not be very long.

Well, Auburn had the SEC officials because without them you can't get SEC calls.

Are you sure?  I watched on ESPNU and I'm virtually certain that the announcers said that they were Big East refs.

Those refs were Sunbelt officials... The ground crew actually had sunbelt officials on their back...

ESPNU clearly stated they were Big Beast officials, even saying that they may have been some of the clock issues in the beginning, since they had never been in a high school stadium before.

I think the sideline (down marker) crew typically wears the conference logo (poncho thingy) of the home team regardless.  I've seen out of conference refs for our homegames wearing the Big East "ponchos" at RayJay.

Anyone know if this is correct?

Whether they were Big East or Sun Belt, they failed to catch a lot of holding penalties going down on the LOS. I was catching FAU's O-lineman holding quite a bit, but the refs weren't calling it. I could have sworn the zebras were from the Sun Belt.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
