I am not saying that the Big East officials gave that call to USF on purpose, but they did blow the call and it did have an outcome on the game. The next play, USF scores a TD. But, as casual fans of other games, they have to be influenced by something to develop a rooting interest. We all root for (or against) a lot of teams other than USF - albeit with less passion. Who were we rooting for when USM played Rice last week? Things happen throughout a lifetime that cause you to develop various rooting interests.
