Not that it matters, or that I really care, but did anyone say why the boot was on the car?

This is crazy, we all know that the parking at USF is AWFUL!!!  They are fixing it but, it will take a few more years.  I had a boot on my car once because I was coming to drop off an instrument to my prof. and came back out five minutes later and had a BOOT on my car.  IT WAS like 5 o'clock!!! I was parked in a "reserved spot"....for someone who had obviously worked their day already and the spot was very open!  I HATE THE PARKING NAZIS AT USF!!!  George was prolly so pissed about the boot that he single handedly ripped it off with his bare hands.  Thats how pissed I was when I had one...the only reason they give the boot, is if you have an outstanding ticket that you havent paid yet.

PARKING IS A SITUATION USF DEFINATLY NEEDS TO SOLVE VERY SOON.  BECAUSE RIGHT NOW, ITS NOT CUTTIN' IT!!!

Regardless...GO BULLS!!!

I have been questioning the legality of the boot for many years...how an officer of the law can place a device on your car, that if moved will cause major damage to the personal property of a private citizen over a non-criminal offense just baffles me.

Guys it is not a parking issue.  The fact that parking at USF is ridiculous is well known.  He could have paid his parking tickets (which it appears was the reason for the boot).  Most folks go through life without getting arrested.

Let's not blow the arrest up into a cause.  He wasn't arrested for a good cause like Gandhi or MLK, he was arrested for doing something stupid.

That's usually why most people get arrested.  Gandhi and MLK were protesting and still broke laws.  The point is the measures they used, and severity of their actions.  This could have much more easily been handled internally instead of charging him with an felony after they freely admit is all they want is their boot back or restitution.  SO, then why not let your actions equal your words, don't throw a kid in the slammer, charged with a felony.  Withhold his diploma, withhold financial aid...there are lots of ways the Universities skin this cat without acting so difficult.

It all depends on your perspective .... You can say he took one for all the poor shmucks who have been booted out there. They were there in spirit, cheering him on, as he ripped that boot and flung into the dark depths of that dumpster ...

Congrats at getting that boot off, Woody.  Nice job.  Boots are stupid.

Jim - get ahold of your players - too many glitches with the LAW.  Pretty soon they will start acting like MIAMI.  Playing like MIAMI is ok but acting like MIAMI is ignorant.  Come on George - you are/were one of the brightest hopefulls (and key in the WVA game last year)....we need you to be smarter.

pay for the boot, take it on the chin, tell the Judge how stupid you are, and maybe....just maybe he will be playing when we meet for the 2nd game.  1 full game suspension would suffice (Jim take notice here).

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
