What football player EVER sprints in a straight line on the field? What matters is your speed when avoiding tackles and finding open aisles. I agree that football is more than running but come on...what football players ever sprint in a straight line? Do you really need an answer for that? what does one do once they find that open aisle? Lots of top level college players that supposedly run times like that get exposed at the combine when they are timed electronically rather than by hand.
