USF Baseball and Softball Banquet Sold Out

TAMPA, Fla. (Feb. 2, 2007) – The inaugural lead-off banquet for the University of South Florida baseball and softball teams on Thursday, Feb. 8 has been sold out.  

Fans wishing to catch a glimpse of the Bulls are welcome to show their support on opening day for both teams on Friday, Feb. 9. USF softball starts its season at 3 p.m. when it faces Western Kentucky in the Best Western Invitational at the USF Softball Field. At 5:30 p.m., the Bulls will take on Arkansas. The baseball team gets its season underway at 6 p.m. when it faces High Point at Red McEwen Field.  

Single-game tickets, season tickets and tournament passes (softball only) are on sale and can be purchased on game day at each stadium or in advance by calling 1-800-GoBulls between 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. (EST) Monday-Friday.

What was the last school to have a team in Omaha & Oklahoma City in the same yr?

Can we really talk about Omaha and Oklahoma this early? Last time a USF team was this hyped was the men's soccer, and where did they go?

Don't think anyone is hyping this team.  This is not Lelo's team yet but should be improved from last year.  They have signed some great talent from the local area and next year should be a big improvement.  It's just great to hear a buzz again about USF baseball.  It hasn't been like that since late 90's.

I want baseball to be great... but anything less than OK City for the ladies will be a let down. Next year... the ladies will be ranked in the top 5 coming into the season.
