Wow!!  I'm surprised...

There was a rumor on the Miami Hurricanes board that Bama boosters had secured enough cash for Nick Saban to get a $12 million first year salary/signing bonus.  I wonder if Rodriguez will get a signing bonus.

Two other questions:  Will RR be interested in teaming up Rod Smith again?  Would Rod Smith apply for the WVU job?

You can pretty much guarantee that Pat White and Steve Slaton will go pro after next year.

WVU is going to bump coach rod salary by 600K to 1.8M

so he may not be gone just yet!

It will be interesting to see how that offense will translate in the SEC. I still think he had a much better chance for success at UWV. I mean who did he have to recruit against in that region....Pitt, Penn State, Virginia Tech, maybe Virginia. Now he's surrounded by Auburn, LSU, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida with some big expectations from boosters but I guess money talks.

ESPN ticker says he is going to decide by Saturday.
