Seems that he would be an immediate impact at the 2 Deep with Green and Randoplh leaving. And why sit him behind GrothE.And back on QB, does it still look like Gregory will get a Medical RS and be a SO in 2007?Anything new on Severino not returning for his SR/5th season ?Anything on the injuries of Mompremier and Griffin ? Will they be playng in the bowl ?AND Thanx for such a great blog and coming on here.

Is it safe to say Matt has the spot? yeah, I'm just excited about potential backups, even if he might have to change positions (I still think he has good enough stats to try to be backup QB, but either way he could redshirt a year). I was worried about not having a backup QB next year, because I was hoping Voss would be able to redshirt. I thought people on this board mentioned that Grant Gregory would change positions, but he is still a QB that frees up others to redshirt and/or change positions themselves. Good news there. Matt Grothe is safe for 3 years I'd imagine

Plus, that other guy is too short anyways to play quarterback...Regards,Jack Bicknell

Doesn't that stud RB Powell live in/near Ft. Myers??? Wouldn't that be an exciting backfield (Grothe/Powell).

As much as I like what MG did this year, I hope we never become complacent, thinking that we now have a QB for four years. We need to continue to bring in good talent at that position and others. Let CJL and the staff sort it out.
