Background  

HOW SOLOMON BECAME A HAWK: Drafted by the Hawks in the second round (33rd overall) of the 2006 NBA Draft • Signed to a contract on July 12, 2006.

2006 SUMMER LEAGUE: Appeared in all six games of the Rocky Mountain Revue in Salt Lake City, and averaged 2.8 ppg, 3.2 rpg and 0.7 bpg in 17.0 mpg (.400 FG%, .500 FT%) • Tied for 6th among all players in blocks, and tied for 16th in rebounding.

COLLEGIATE CAREER: Jones was named Honorable Mention All-Big East as a senior at South Florida (2005-06), after averaging 13.2 ppg, 9.8 rpg (2nd in the Big East) and 3.1 bpg (third in the conference), making .484 FGs and .778 FTs • Quick off his feet, he is considered a tremendous shot blocker • Jones also finished 12th in the Big East in free throw percentage • Recorded 13 double-doubles, and scored in double figures 21 times • As a junior (2004-05), Jones led the team in field goal percentage (.546) and blocks (64) • Fourth all-time for the Bulls in blocks, despite playing there only two seasons • He was also a three-time member of the Big East’s weekly honor roll as a senior • As a sophomore (2003-04) at Daytona Beach Community College, put up 11.0 ppg and 8.0 rpg • In his freshman campaign (2002-03), compiled 8.0 ppg and 6.4 rpg, hitting .580 FGs • Also blocked 38 shots.

I would think he would......being the what, 33rd pick? Who knows though, LOTS of young talent on that team....

I have my NBA fantasy draft tonight as the reigning champion and SoJo didn't even make it onto my sheet of eligible players... although I might be able to ride Chucky Atkins in mid-season for a week.

Team South Florida is going for back to back NBA fantasy titles starting tonight... and I'm riding a ten game win streak that dated back to last season... maybe I should become a GM somewhere.
