Yes, the GAMEDAY crew was at Pitt last season when they opened the season against Notre Dame. They had a great GameDay crowd for that one because both Pitt and Notre Dame have the tradition. They also set up the studio right by the river which made for a great atmosphere. It was too bad that Pitt got destroyed in that game last season in Charlie Weiss' first game.

Afer we've actually been to a BCS bowl, and are top of BE on an annual basis.

I think if our basketball team ever gets good then we will have a good chance at getting a GAMEDAY crew for the basketball season. It is too hard to do it for USF right now because we dont have an on campus stadium. One day, we will have an on campus stadium then that would help USF's chances for getting a visit from Game Day if we are highly ranked. It may be a long long time, but it will be worth the wait.

unless basketball changes the way they choose games (set the schedule before the season ever starts), USF will never get a basketball broadcast.  They just rotate through Kansas, UNC, Duke, Indiana, Kentucky, etc.  They will never look at a USF v. UCONN matchup and peg that as some place Gameday wants to be before the season.

I got a friend at UF who camped out overnight and made a Grothe sign for today... I haven't seen it yet on Gameday though. Does that count?

UM has had Gameday before... no OCS.

It will take a ranked USF team vs. a ranked UL/WVU team with championship implications on the line.

See last year... so close, but we weren't ranked.

Remember the Army game at WestPoint... USF's first CUSA victory.

It might not be years.  They could easily be at UL/WVU this year.  If we can improve significantly next year, they could be there when we host UL or WVU next year, if we have 0 or 1 loss at gametime.
