USF shouldn't rely on other state schools to sell tickets.

It's up to USF to sell tickets to people who want to see USF.

i LOVE 4pm games, let me tell you thats the BIG home advantage UM has used for years,ALL their home games unless televised are at 4 PM and you should see those visiting teams come the fourth quarter,they are DONE. Also beer and soft drink sells will be BIG.

What conflict is there with in state teams? They play that night AFTER our game.

The conflict, Mike, is that the casual local football fans (which still make up a significant segment of USF FB's fan base) will stay home and watch FSU-UM on TV rather than come to RJS.

Would you attend a local event of minor interest to you from 4-7 if USF was on TV starting at 8? Didn't think so.

USF football should avoid conflicting with UF/FSU games whenever possible. (Not so much UM, because they have no actual fan base.) It may not have been avoidable in this case, but it still will hurt attendance.

USF plans on marketing this game with a big labor day festival:

"We'll have the lots open early, and we're going to make it a Labor Day festival, with live music and other events," USF associate athletic director Tom Veit said.

IMO, time conflicts with the Top 3 teams in our state is not a factor. Granted, we still depend on "fringe" fans, but they will pick the school they want ... slowly, but sure we will build a fan base of BULLS !, not people in the stands with a pink shirt on.

I like the BrainStorming BullDoug, but agree with the overall time, cost of beverages, etc. Keep the ideas coming.

I'm happy about the early lots openings  ;D

I think the major issue is the fact that at that time of day, most likely, we'll have a delay sometime during the second quarter because of lightning.
