I don't care how we look at this game... penalties and the lack of Ricky Ponton cost us. Matt Grothe has more poise in the pocket than any QB that has EVER played at USF. Sit back and enjoy the ride... the next four years will place USF on the map if they can build around Matt.

Also... the receivers we have this year are way better than any year we've had line up on the field. Very minimal drops... and I'm sure everyone is going to say the last missed pass was crucial... but the receivers are light years ahead of what we've had here.

This will be a different ball team when Ricky is back.

Normally I lose two days of productivity after a loss... but sometimes you have to realize the big picture... we lost to KU today... but by the time Grothe is a senior, the game against UF will be more winnable than anyone ever imagined.

Flipflop... there is no need to console your son... he made big plays... he will be NFL bound in four years. Congrats.

I too was impressed by Matt and the receivers.  If we only had a running game.  I never thought I'd mutter those words.  Defense only gives up 13 points, you have to win that game.

There is no controversy ANY more.  Everyone who knows anything about football KNOWS that Matt is soooooooo far ahead of PJ, that all questions should stop about who should be QB.

Maybe get PJ in as a RB we need SOMETHING back there with MG.

Matt again had a hell of a game.  The kid is amazing.  If our RB can stay off the herb and get focused, we'll have a hell of an offense pretty damned soon.

That said, another nailbiter, this one not in our favor.  Oh well.  The kid can't pull magic out of his ass EVERY time.  Wonder if kicking that FG on the first drive would have changed the dynamic of the game?
