If they were to anounce a firing, would it be retrospective of now, or wait until th season is up?

From what i hear down here from Miami alumni, he will be given rest of year but if he doesnt win ACC he is gone. Forget about Leavitt going there, the man the alumni wants is Rutgers Coach Schiano.

hmmmmm...if Schaino leaves Rutgers, would this send Rutgers down the tubes, or can they hold up w/o him.

Schiano would have to go there. Sorry they might not have the alumni base that Rutgers has, but Miami is a program that you can win at immediately and have few problems bringing top recruits in.

What he's done at Rutgers is great, but they are not winning national titles in the next few years.

Losing Schiano would be bad for the Big East.

Miami should have canned Coker after he fired all of those top-flight assistants.

Schiano is a Rutgers alumn, so I would think it would be hard for him to leave his alma mater. He may use this to get a bigger increase in his salary to stay at Rutgers. I personally think Miami will either go after Jimmy Johnson or Butch Davis. I know there have been some bridges burned with Davis and all, but I think Davis would be the best coach available for Miami. If not, maybe Rutgers will go after Davis.

I don't think Schiano is a Rutgers alum, he just was a grad assistant there, but finished his grad degree at Penn State.

He was going to be the next coach at Miami if he had stayed, but Butch Davis told him he wasn't going to the NFL so Schiano took the Rutgers job.
