I believe if you have Verizon DSL you can get ESPN 360....Can someone please confirm.   Do you need an additional account with Verizon other than the $14.99 DSL service to receive ESPN 360?

I believe your internet provider has got to "carry" the service.  Mine, Cox Cable, does not..

ISPs that currently carry ESPN360:

Frontier

US Cable

Verizon

BELD

Charter LA

Charter Stl

Grande

Mediacom

MidHudson

SMU

StarStream

MTC

Iowa Network Services

Conway

Liberty PR

How do we get ESPN 360?

http://broadband.espn.go.com/ivp/splash

try to view 360 content and when it denies you it lets you fill out a form to petition your local provider.

Verizon subscribers can get access. In fact you can login with your Verizon account even if your not on the DSL network. Maybe someone with a verizon account can create a user name like "USF" and a Password of "Go Bulls".

Another way to login is to use a valid USF email account (student or faculty) if you login via the Virtual Private Network you can then open ESPN360 and see the content.  I dont know if all universities have this access. You can check Arizona State, perhaps you could watch it in their library or find a cute coed that has an account. I dont know if they have a VPN or not.

How does one obtain a verizon account without having DSL, is there a small monthly fee?

Sorry, I dont know. I tried my cell phone user id but it didnt like that one. I plan to use the USF VPN on Saturday.

There were some good hacks online for ESPN360 during the world cup but ESPN caught on. For instance the refering URL ended in =affiliate or =nonaffiliate, just by changing the referring URL you could get access. They caught that one, then just holding down the CTRL key when it loaded woudl get you in.  Do some searching you may find a good one. Or someone else might be able to figure out the reference to the URL that pops up the flass and "edit" it to think you are an affiliate.

Good Luck.
