Reality is that we are very close as football programs.  I know that neither side's fans want to admit that, but it appears evident to me.

Not sure what you're basing that on btu I think we'll know more about that after this year ....

tough to see us tied with them but that just keeps us that much more focused on the main goal.  hopefully in the next 5 years we set ourselves apart from UCF that much more then just 1 victory that we have on them right now.

Winning creates a perception that may not be reality.   UCF build a one year decent record playing a soft schedule, after several years of futility.  So the perception is they are on the rise.  Whether they are or not remains to be seen.  I don't know how they could get to the Miami or FSU level playing a CDOA schedule every year though, they would have to get to a BCS conference to truly be on the rise.

It's pretty simple.  Get somebody to type "this program is on the rise" before the season starts, and that program is on the rise.

We'll have to see how the season goes.  We always do.  However, USF getting BCS money sure is nice...

That is true... but I would rather contol the Big East than C-DOA...

No doubt if UCF won a few CUSA titles that would help too...but with over 12 future games vs teams like UF, Miami, Texas, Pitt, & Wisconsin...UCF will have to win a few of those to move up the ladder.

Of course 3 upcoming games vs Big East Member USF offers more chances as well.
