Currently we have these options ...

1. Play big teams AWAY

2. Play smaller teams at HOME

3. Continue to get more Home & Away series

A. Too many 4get that we played PSU & UM away last year.

B. We have UCF, Kansas & UNC - 2 outta 3 BCS, remember - the 12th game was just added by NCAA.

C. We have Auburn(Away) & UNC(Home) in 2007(Both BCS) with 3 more games to be filled.

:P

AGAIN ! For this season's schedule . . .

We had an 11 game schedule with ALL 1A teams and only 2 were non-BCS, then the 12th game was added and we could only get a 1AA team - simple.

SIMPLE !  ::)

For those "upset" about our scheduling in football, please give us an example of what you would like to see ... nothing specific in regards to teams - just a rough "sketch".

Go BULLS !!!

Cuban, I have never had a problem with playing D-IAA tuneup game. In  fact they ...

Here's how I think we should schedule (5 OOC games).

2 BCS teams...I'm not talking Kansas...I mean Auburn, NC State, or Purdue...teams with good track records over the last few years.

1 Mid Major/Small BCS - CUSA and MWC, or teams like Kansas, Baylor, Mississippi St, UCF, or Memphis to name a few.

1 - Low Major - Sun Belt, MAC: FAU, FIU, Akron, Buffalo...

1 - D-IAA - Prefer FAMU...attendance reasons, but teams like Woffard are fine so long as they're opening game.

...

Not outta the question ... and I BULLieve we are working in this direction ... but remember that many of the teams with good track records from the BCS do not want to play us Home & Away that we are wanting (and I agree with).

We have Aurburn next year, then UF in a few more years as the only away "pay" games.

We are only entering year 10 and I believe that we ARE getting better, only 1 season was crap(2004).

I want to build up our reputation(we don't have one yet) and beat team HARD when we go bowling and WIN the conference.

Winning the conference solves MOST concerns - big payday with BCS Bowl Money$ and exposure. Winning this game will help soo much.

Back to winning  8-)

But, I do agree 100% with your scheduling theory.

Like ET said thats the way it looks like we will be scheduling

2007 Auburn,North Carolina

2008 Kansas,FIU

2009 Miami,FIU,Wofford

2010 Florida,Samford

2011 Florida

2012 Miami

2013 Miami

So we have a BIG BCS yearly already except for2008, 2010. We will probably see a 1AA yearly,i would also prefer FAMU

And I am hoping that our future schedules have big names on them.

And I unfortunately BULLieve that many that are hammering our schedule and say take the big away pay games, would also use the complained that we can't be big time taking money games that we need games at home ...  ::)

Some just will not be happy ...

But I am happy disgussing it  8-)

Go BULLS !!!

Nothing wrong with that line of scheduling. The only issue I could see is playing teams like Auburn, who more than likely would not give us a return game. We don't need to be playing the AWAY games for money anymore. Series with UNC and Kansas are fine with me. We have Miami in there as well, so we can sign with good programs.

The mid majors should be a 1 game deal at RJS, or a 2 for 1. It would depend on the situation. E.T. had a post concerning the PITT-UCF series and it looked like a 2 for 1 to me. That's the same line of scheduling we should be doing.

I think there could be years with 3 BCS teams and 1 Non BCS, and 1 D-1AA, but your scenario would be the way to go.
