We have plenty of depth at receiver... so although he was the most talented player of the bunch... Peyton probably hurts the least.

Well, peyton was our only real deep threat (jackson is more likely to catch a short one and break it), so hopefully amp hill retained his speed, or taurus johnson or edner alcin really show up next year.

18 Jackson, Amarri So.  WR  6-05  195  Sarasota, Fla./Sarasota Riverview HS

80 Randolph, Ean Fr.  WR  5-09  175  Plant City, Fla./Durant HS

81 Green, S.J. Jr.  WR  6-03  220  Brandon, Fla./Brandon HS

82 Randolph, Ean Fr.  WR  5-09  175  Planc City, Fla./Durant HS

Plus this year's crop:

Carlton Mitchell

Jason Sherman

Plus the tight end receivers:

Andrew Ketchel

Cedric Hill

Shane McElwain

Ben Busbee

Then add in

Amp Hill

I'd say there is some depth :)

I;m not going to depend on Amp Hill, the guy has serious injury issues. However, Amari Jackson is going to be solid and Alcin will be a great receiver down the line, it will take him a few seasons.

Grant never qualified.

Not trying to sound like smazza but with the exception of green our wideouts need to hit the cafeteria.

Wasn't Simpson the one who ran the kickoff back against UL? This leaves us thin, numberwise, at rb, doesn't it?

Thanks for the update on grant... I didn't notice that he slipped through my list.

That list is pre-2005 season roster... right from gousfbulls.com.

Nah Trip, while it would have been nice to have him because he is a good talent, we have bodies at RB, Ponton is the only one with real action now though.

Unfortunatly this has been a long time coming for Peyton. He was our best reciever who could actually catch a ball.

I wish everyone would stop this nonsense about how great Amari is...the numbers say otherwise.

Yep, our LBs will be hurting in 2007.  Next year we should be OK there, but we're going to have some youngsters playing in '07.  Depth is one of the reasons we we can't compete with the Floridas and FSUs of the world.
