Sophomore receiver Johnny Peyton has been dismissed from the team for a violation of team rules, according to a USF statement released Monday.

Three reserves are also leaving the program and will transfer this summer: linebackers Josh Balloon and Ronnie McCullough and running back Chad Simpson.

Peyton is no surprise at all -- writing's been on the wall since December. The other three are reserves who weren't expected to play significant roles next season, so it hurts depth a little, but also frees up four scholarships for next season ...

So much for my predicition stating that if he got his act together he'd be the best Bull player ever.

Best of luck to him, this guy had more talent than anyone on the team not named Andre Hall. Unfortunatly he didn't wanna use it here.

Four Players Won’t Return in 2006

(February 6, 2006) Tampa, Fla. – USF sophomore wide receiver Johnny Peyton has been dismissed from the team for violating team policy, while sophomores Josh Balloon (linebacker), Ronnie McCullough (linebacker) and Chad Simpson (running back) have indicated they will transfer to other schools.

Peyton had 39 catches for 657 yards and five touchdowns in his two seasons at USF. Balloon (12 tackles in two years) and McCullough (54 tackles in two years) have been backups in the linebacker corps and special teams players, and Simpson was USF’s top kick return specialist in 2005 with a 25.2 average that includes a 94-yard touchdown against Louisville. He also had 16 carries for 89 yards in a backup role to Andre Hall and Ricky Ponton.

My thoughts exactly.  This guy will not be missed.  Goodbye!  You are the weakest link!

Looks like glover, mqueen and joseph will probably see significant time this year.

I think mcoulough hurts the most, he was our fourth best lb, and i was impressed with him last season.

This sucks for peyton cause he had unlimited potential. I really hope the guy manages to get in at some school and prove himself.

IMO aston samuels is another simpson, only bigger and with hopefully better instincts as a runner.

Balloon was a good upback on punts, never impressed me as a lb, he looked kinda out of place.
