There's no doubt they're playing their hearts out.

I have said all along this team is playing hard. I just don't think they are a very good team and there is only so much they can do.

Geez, they came within a 3 pointer of winning or tieing the game in the last few seconds.  And Nova WAS #6 in the country.  Sounds like they played pretty well against a good team.  I can't believe Villanova would "lay down" and risk losing this game.

I don't think nova laid down at all. We played in your face defense and dared the team to try and beat us off the dribble.

In Nova's defense they didn't have their floor leader Allan Ray, which would have given them a lot more. But still they shot 24%, if we could have some point production from anyone we could won.

You can possibly blame recruiting on RMC, but not his game management.

nova played hard, our boys played harder. u have to give it to them, they lay it on the line.

having said that, don't confuse the coaches with the players. the players should be praised until their last minute, for proudly carrying the bulls flag on our behalf. conversely, the staff should be vilified for their poor recruiting and roster management. it's like saying the GM can be separated from the coach's performance. in this case, our GM is our coach and Mac, as the GM must be fired for putting Mac the coach in such a poor position.  The jobs are inseparable, and Mac cannot do them.

Recruiting + Game Management +/- Luck = Wins and Losses.

Give Mac an F for recruiting, a B for game management, and no one can take blame or credit for luck.  He must go.

is this the same GREAT floor general that always lost in the first round of the dance to teams with lesser talent

You guys are crazy to think ill of your coach.

You've been in every game but 1 and could still win this one.

Even with a full bench, that's impressive for your first year in the Big East.

not everybody thinks ill of rmc, only a few people, but especially the brown nose sheriff who has his nose so far up seth greenberg's butt to realize how good of a coach he actually is.  in a game like todays seths teams would have folded and lost by alot more...think its untrue, 2001-2002 season we are playing the gaytors in the sundome tied at halftime after a dunk, and come back in the second half to lose by alot.  still think seth is a better coach?

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
