anyone know what the bulls' winter workout schedule is like?

the qb's need to be out on the practice fields doing drills with the receivers every day on their own.

I don't think there is an official winter workout schedule, per NCAA regs.  Hopefully, our players organize their own, as they do during the summer.

the lineman and linebackers need to get much stronger

they should be living in weight room\

we were way too weak at point of attack in some critical situations on both sides of the ball

Well said.  Unfortunately this fumble / benching method of building a QB's confidence has become a norm for Rod Smith.  See PJ's first game time in `03 when the ball was snapped over his head and he was summarily benched until Banks screwed up even worse.

Denson fumbles in his first start against the best D in the nation in front of 100,000 and he's benched.  This similar series of events is now in the process with C Hill.  (see the Car Care Bowl).  I certainly hope he fares better under this "system" I call the Rod Smith QB Railroad.

I still think Pat could have been a good-enough QB. Not great, not wonderful, not even good, but good-enough.  The problem lies at the position coach (who's also the O coordinator).  Pat's #1 problem was coaching calls not tailored to his strengths.  Unfortunately more often than not, the play selections appeared tailored to underscore his weaknesses.  Pat's #2 problem; sloppy throwing technique.  This is something the QB coach should have remedied over the last 1-1/2 years.  Rod Smith is at least over his head, if not drowned allready.

great points
