I love our mascot ... thanx to the student(s) that do this.

Would like a "football" jersey, but part of the budget ... know that Florida has about 3-5 each(male/female).

Would be great to have a live Brahma, but would probably take a donor that would "handle" everything.

Go BULLS !!!

THey tried to do that a few years ago. The number one reason it wasn't allowed was the rule of not having the live animal with "dangerous propensities" into Raymond James.

that might be quite a liability... it might look great, but the first person "stampeded" over, or mauled, and heads would roll.

We need PETA on our case like we need a hole in the head.

The Gramaticas raise cows...i bet they've got one they could spare...but really, i dont want to have to dodge horns and cow dung on the sidelines.

It'd be a completely different story if we were the USF "beautiful naked women" though.

Agreed. The USF 'Fun Bags', or 'Store Boughts' would be worth a live mascot.

Pleasant thoughts...

I remember in 1997 they had a "real - live"  BULL outside the stadium.

It was kind of cool....

Don't forget ... many of the programs that have live animals have Colleges of Agriculture -- where they are part of the livestock the colleges use to educated future farmers.

USF has not such college, so we would be forced to rely on the good will of a local farmer.

Besides, do you know the only way to make a bull docile enough to sit with thousands of screeming fans??  (We are the Bulls not the Steers).

My high school had a live mascot, a ram, he lasted about two weeks before being retired.....he made a terrible mess everywhere he went, including his debut in the school cafeteria.

BTW, UT doesn't have a bull.. It's a Texas Longhorn steer named Bevo.
