... I see absolutely no possible correlation.

Or...maybe not have USF sign a Corporate "exclusive" sponsorship with the St Pete Times...and instead...sign with the "Hometown" Newspaper where 75% plus of USF's targeted fan base lives as the Newspaper of record.

Just a thought.

Did playing in the St Pete Times Forum hurt ticket sales for Tampa Bay Lightning?

Some questions:

1.  How many current students "support" the program by putting their butts in seats at home games?

2.  How many of those students bought/received tickets and will be in the stands at the MCC Bowl?

3.  How many season ticket holders  put their  butts in the stands at the RJ?

4.  How many of those season tickets holders will be in the stands in Charlotte?

5. How do these numbers compare percentage wise to the number of people in the general population of the Tampa Bay area who buy tickets and attend football (college or professional ) games?

6. How many USF students and graduates buy tickets and attend sporting events such as soccer, volleyball, wrestling, golf, track, basketball and what about performances given by students of the arts?

Why do you believe football is more worthy of support than the others?

7. Tampa Bay is a fairly large market, what has the University and the Athletic Department done to put more bodies in the seats at the RayJay?

8.  In my opinion throwing  footballs at Hootie and some kids pushing their oversized parents in a cart doesn't p[ut people in the stands.  If 38,500 people attended a HIGH SCHOOL football game in Louisville this year, why does USF  have trouble putting bodies in the stands at RJS?.

9.  The Courier-Journal in Louisville had information about the Toyota Gator Bowl and where to purchase tickets every day after the Cards were picked to go.

Can the same be said for the MCCB in the Tampa Tribune and the St Pete Times?

Some questions:

1.  How many current students "support" the program by putting their butts in seats at home games?

About 10K

2.  How many of those students bought/received tickets and will be in the stands at the MCC Bowl?

Maybe 10%

3.  How many season ticket holders put their butts in the stands at the RJ?

About 5K

4.  How many of those season tickets holders will be in the stands in Charlotte?

About 5K

5. How do these numbers compare percentage wise to the number of people in the general population of the Tampa Bay area who buy tickets and attend football (college or professional ) games?

I am not privy to this.

6. How many USF students and graduates buy tickets and attend sporting events such as soccer, volleyball, wrestling, golf, track, basketball and what about performances given by students of the arts?

And the bus arrives in Charlotte at 11 AM ... how many...?

Why do you believe football is more worthy of support than the others?

Yes ... but why doesn´t this have a number?

7. Tampa Bay is a fairly large market, what has the University and the Athletic Department done to put more bodies in the seats at the RayJay?

Provided a winning team with consistant leadership in Leavitt & Selmon.

The first two have NOTHING to do with putting people in the stands. They are promotions for those in the stands.

Have you been to Louisville ? And it has nothing to do with anyone at RayJay ...

9.  The Courier-Journal in Louisville had information about the Toyota Gator Bowl and where to purchase tickets every day after the Cards were picked to go.

If someone wants to go to the most important game in school history and needs a newspaper or other media to EXPLAIN to them how to buy these tix, they would never find their way there.

::)

So let me ask you Mr. Questions ... HOW DO WE GET MORE IN RAYJAY? ... or do you just have questions and no answers?

Bottom Line is that we have alums that don´t care enough about USF Football to attend. SAD, but True.

:'(  :-/  :-[  :P ::)  ???  :(  >:(

I really don't think that the corporate sponsorship of the St. Pete Times has any bearing on engaging the alumni that don't pay attention to the program.  In fact, I see absolutely no possible correlation.

Goog point Mike...then tell USF fans to please STOP writing letters/emails and calling the Tampa Tribune to complain.

Thanks.

Question... How many buses is student government sponsoring, and how many scholarships of say 300$ per stu is SG giving? The SG should have been on top of this. I know past regimes,(ala Griff, Mince, and Mikey B)all did what they had to do in prep of us going to a bowl. It starts with the students! It's not the stu's fault. They can't afford a big cost trip. There were lots of tix left. Give them to the STUDENTS!!! Don't let the opponent come over to our campus and swipe up tix that ARE AVAILABLE. Those were OUR tix. SG YOU BLEW IT!!! Busses could have been had, rooms available, and SG sits on their hands. What are you gonna do with the Mill you have in budget? Build another statue on campus? Unreal. Start earning your salaries and be the leaders at USF. As of now,  YOUR actions are a disservice to the students @USF.    The Reaper
