I'm more concerned about one of those games where the entire team goes cold yet we've become so accustomed to hitting many 3s that we keep jacking them up and bricking everything.

It's gonna happen and it'll show how good of a team we really are if we can ratchet up other aspects of the game enough to compensate ...

While I am amazed at the shooting in every game that I watch (is that really USF?), our guys have to be prepared to play in all conditions when and if something bad happens.  Oh say, like a return to tradition.

But I think they have the all around effort and grit to overcome a cold night.

Go Bulls!

ECU is one of the higher ranked team's nationally and 2nd in the AAC in 3 point defense, holding teams to 30% from 3. We handled them. both charlotte and UNT rank just ahead of ecu in 3 point % against.

cold shooting night is going to happen. relying on 3's gives you a higher variance of outcomes.

it also gives you a better chance to win.

no team is going to win every game.

there will be those on here that think we should totally change our offensive philosophy(shoot less 3's) when it happens.

we shouldn't.

we will have to rely on our defense to win ugly on an off night shooting.

Reminds of the days as a kid shoveling the courts so we could play. Nets would freeze and ball wouldn't go through. Had to keep adding air to the ball since it lost psi in the cold.  And I walked to and from school uphill.
