In her last 3 games, Amy has scored 24, 10, and 37 points. In the 10-pt game, she and several other players were reportedly playing with the flu.

And guess what she did in her game last night. She dropped 44 points on a season high 8 3s.

Indiana's senior sharpshooter and all Big 10 guard, Sara Scalia, scored a career high 39 points at Stillwater HS back in 2018. That was the most points scored by a player in history at the school, until last week. When USF commit, Amy Thompson, scored 48 points last week, she broke Scalia school record for most points scored in a game.

In that game, Thompson was 18-27 from the floor, including 7-13 on 3s. Thompson would then surpass Scalia's 39 points again in the next game by scoring 44 points. She is now averaging 26 ppg, 10 more than she did last season. 

Commenting on her performance, her coach said, "she faces a tough defense every game and is still able to find space to make plays and help the team be successful."

I will add in my own comments. After watching multiple games from her junior and sophomore seasons, I can confidently say that Thompson is a better ball-handler and better 3-pt shooter than anyone we have on our roster. Will she face better talent at USF? Of course she will! But there is no one on the roster now that possesses the skills she has in dribbling, shooting, and creating her own shot. If she plays point as a replacement to Wilson, Bulls fans should see a massive improvement at the position. And if Puisis, Levy, and Blasigh all return, we should be in for an exciting show next season. If CJF likes an up-tempo game, Thompson will give it to him.

Amy made a career high 10 3s and scored 47 points in her game Friday night. This was her 3rd 40-pt game in the last 5 games.
