Curious as to how much Weatherford Capital has donated.

Anyone against the OCS also required extra time to take tests in school. 3M population base in the Metro region makes Tampa/St. Pete/ Clw a prime market. Throw in warm weather, a new stadium and Fla Blue chip talent and we're close. A couple years of great on field performance and we're there

The 35,001 units labeled “spectator seating” include 12,101 for bench seating, 6,940 for students and 9,992 for priority chairbacks. There are 20 loge boxes (four people apiece) and “living room box seating” (10 boxes of eight lounge seats). The stadium club adds another 19,890 square feet for everything from lounge areas to concession stands and a “parents lounge” next to the family restroom. There’s also a field-level club (11,370 square feet) and party patio (8,875 square feet). Public restrooms cover another 27,550 square feet — 233 units for men, 282 for women and six for families. The main concourse spans 100,000 square feet with “drinking fountains throughout.” That’s notable because at least one USF trustee has made a crack at how rival UCF’s stadium did not have enough when it opened. Each corner of the stadium would have its own plaza fan service area of 10,000 square feet. The plan calls for 65 traditional cooking concession stands and 65 labeled “tradition non-cooking.” A 4,000-square-foot kitchen and 3,000-square-foot commissary are also under the dining/retail section, along with a team store (2,500 square feet) and three novelty stands. Sounds good... Let's break ground this month lol
USF_Bullsharks Posted January 12 Group: Member Topic Count: 11 Content Count: 868 Reputation: 471 Days Won: 1 Joined: 02/24/2021 Share Posted January 12 I like how the stadium is positioned size-wise when it comes to economic value outside of USF football. It's been reported that Vinik's group advised 35k seats will be strategic positioning in the market, with each "level" roughly doubling in capacity. Even with an expansion of 5-15k seats, we still fit above the "mid sized" and below "NFL". Breaking it out we have - Micro sized - Straz, etc. Small - Yuengling Center - 10k Mid - Amalie Arena 21k (Indoor), MIDFLORIDA Ampitheater 20k (outdoor) Large - USF OCS 35k (upwards of 45-50k in the future) NFL Stadium - 65k+ This would mean for large artists (not market-movers like TSwift, Kenny Chesney, Beyonce, etc. who sell out NFL stadiums) who want to play in a venue larger than 20k, USF's OCS is in the perfect position to attract those shows. Thinking large country stars like Eric Church, who sold out 2-3 nights at Amalie arena in a couple of hours when they went on sale a few years ago, can now do 2 nights at USF with the same amount of fans/tickets as 3 nights at Amalie. Not sure what fees/revenue is to host shows like that, but if USF can secure 2-3 "events" (maybe weekends of 2 shows each) of large musicians/entertainers, I imagine it will be quite the revenue generator.

Being considered large at 35K won't cut it in the realignment battle if we're small compared to other conference mates. If expansion can occur up to 45K, do it now is all I'm saying. The context was venue size for hosting entertainment, not CFB stadium size.
