USF's defensive intensity really took FSU by surprise I think. Pryor played really, really tough D inside. Loving that guy's energy.

We need to get the next four and go into conference play on a 5-game win streak or it’s just another shoulder shrug.

To me it's usually a shoulder shrug no matter what until conference play ...... especially these days with our roster turnovers.

Noticed that intensity also. In the tv post game interview CAAR kind of hinted he put them through a grueling practice the day before and they apparently got the message ..... still boils down to consistency but I think you can see what he envisions the team as from yesterday, starts with defense. What I found interesting is that against the tallest team in college hoops, if I understood the announcers correctly, he didn't play 3 out of our 4 tallest players at all.

One factor to consider that I think was very likely the most important reason for CAAR's strategy against FSU is the fact that FSU recently played Georgia. His nephew Jabri Abdur-Rahim is a starting senior guard for Georgia. I would expect that Jabri gave CAAR a detailed breakdown on each player and how to defend each and how to attack whatever weaknesses on defense.

I pretty sure they all have access to video of these games.  I'd hope that CAAR can break it down without his nephew giving him the 411

Plus, he had 6 days since the last game. Now maybe the nephew could have some insight into if any players had some buttons that could be pushed but that probably would have been about it.

Was waiting for someone to say this. I thought it while watching the replay.

Not much of a "tournament" when you play one game.

That is how they set up the tournament.   I think they were expecting that USF would be a scrub team for FSU to beat, but we went down there and kicked some butts.
