They shot 53% from 3.

we shot 6%.

even with that, if we hit the 2 free throws at the end, we're down by 3 with a minute left.

it was on off shooting night. happens to the best teams.

anybody who thinks it was more than that doesn't know basketball.

You're missing the sarcasm Mr Brad. But, if you don't make shots you can't get assists. That's a fact. 😀

Exactly! If we shoot an awful 4-17 from deep, we win by 4, everything else being equal.

It is amazing how a sport turns people into crazies, attacking others who want to see the same thing, which is to see their team win. This is why I follow sports without much emotion. For me, it is just a game. It is entertainment. Yet so many fans start attacking other fans when things don't go right or when one does not agree with another. That's the definition of "fan" for you.

flip the shooting percentages for 3's and we win by like 40.

if we both had an average shooting night(33% from 3) we win by almost 20.

just so happens they were hot and we were the exact opposite.

it happens.

people just don't understand the variance that comes with shooting. especially 3's

And if every shot is an ill-advised shot, you won't make shots.  Did you see a single pick and roll?  Any post to post play, any guard to post play?  Nope it was all "I got the ball, I'll try it".  When you really need a bucket you have to be able to execute.  CMU executed on our flimsy defense all night long.  Got great shots.

In fact if you said team A shot 53% from 3 and team B shot 6% you would think team B got blown out.

that wasn't the case.
