Joe why don't you go have a sleep over at the a**holes house in Gainesville.  When someone calls your school out you don't stick up for the moron.  He is just a dumb neck that is living in the 90's still.  I also forgot it was a girls school, thanks for the reminder guys.  Heck neck we only lost by 20 to Miami and had 10 turnovers  (same score as VA Tech by the way ). Are you impressed ?   Worry about your own school. Lets see.  2005 in review :

Virginia 26  Criminoles 21  

NC State 20  Free Shoes  15 (At Home To)

Clemson 35   Daddy says I am a good offensive coordinator University  14   ( His other son gave them a beat down)

And Finally  The Hated Gators  34   Wide Right U   7

(I think the Bulls could have even kept it closer than that neck.)

 

I called him out in the Trib, lets see if they print it.

I'm all for defending the program. Things like calling a guy who called a newspaper to dis our school is stupid.

Wait a sec.....  I can feel the LOVE!! :)

I have to admire your outlook on things.  Really, you guys kind of remind me of FSU in the 60s, trying to establish a real football program.  The difference is that while we had UF to go against and were even with UM at the time, you guys have the 3 in-state programs that are already at a high level.  The facilities, stadium (on campus, beautiful and packed with 80,000 fans) tradition and national following are all things FSU has the USF and UCF do not.  Maybe some day, but no time soon.

Yes, losing to UVA, NC State, Clemson and UF was tough, but that speaks to the ACC as a real football conference.  W. Virgina would kick us, huh?  Ask Va. Tech about that!  So, enjoy the first bowl game in your history (congrats) while we spend New Years on South Beach getting ready for yet another BCS Bowl!  This is our 30th bowl, by the way.  Not bad for a "girls school"!

I'll try to remember we are "skunks" because some Tampa hack writer decides it is so.  I'll try to remember while seeing us collect 18 million, be in the prime time game at 8 on Tuesday with no other games against us, enjoy the 2nd highest ratings of the BCS games and further our national reputation, you know, where people have actually HEARD of our school and team! (not just in the metro Tampa area) :o

You share the 18 million... just to enlighten you... as we would have shared the Sugar Bowl pot with the rest of the conference. Notre Dame/OSU will be the 2nd highest rated bowl... then the Geriatric/Viagra Septogenerian Orange Bowl will be third.

If you want to start getting really technical about the Skunk thing, that was a label placed on us by a national writer, and the Tampa writer was having fun with it on you guys, considering without an ACC Championship Game you guys wouldn't have even sniffed a BCS Bowl.

Now, props to your guys, they went out, won the game they had to win to get into the OB and should be proud of themselves for getting into the BCS mix once again, but I wouldn't be pounding my chest too much about this year after a couple of the losses you guys suffered.

Also, love your comment about national reputation and people who have actually HEARD about your school. Its REAL hard to make those comparisons when comparing a program with over 50 years of history to one with 9.

Just hope you guys can keep it within 10 against JoePa and the Nittany Lions, cause we did (in Happy Valley)
