USF gets $400,000 on its first trip to Bama and $1 million if the third game happens (there are out-clauses). This story from Al.com has the details.

The Crimson Tide will be playing its first non-power conference game in 20 years.

In the first two years of the series, 2023 and 2024, the home team will pay the visiting team $400,000. For the 2026 meeting in Tuscaloosa, the end of the deal, Alabama will pay USF $1 million.

I am pretty sure Bama has played non power5 games in the last 20 years.... The AL paper clearly did not get an AAU education .

That's just another one of those missed facts that litter the Internet, with a missing "road" that's in the article itself ....

One thing from the article that i assume has already been discussed, but I've missed, is that there will be AAC officials

This is actually pretty standard.  The home team effectively pays the travel costs for the visiting team in a 1:1 non-conference game.

Alabama agreed to a 2:1 with us.
Weren’t we supposed to have that with Florida as well?

I like the 2:1 scheduling and getting some marquee opponents at home that might not agree to a 1:1.

It's either that or we have a lot of Charlotte steamers on the roster.
