Quick question, are we demoting gold to an accent color?

I ask, because I couldn’t help but notice we are using gold a lot less over the years and then the IPF and locker room’s emphasizes Green, White and Lime; finally with the ballon drop, no gold. I’m not upset, just curious. IMG_2291.png.9ec342f8bd55bffaf37831f7d00dceba.png

It's possible that we couldn't find gold balloons at the party store.

This is good stuff. I agree I miss our gold helmets too. Been using way to much of the white ones.

Agreed with everyone, I don’t like the slime at all and our gold helmets were unique and helped us stand apart from the UAB and Baylors of the world.

Gold has always taken a back seat to green in my 30 years at USF, but it is second, behind green, ahead of lime.

I work in the Marshall Center, where that photo was taken. Don't read anything into the balloon colors, no one is thinking that deep, it might be as simple as what was out of stock on Amazon the day they ordered. It also might have been picked to match the ascetics of the room. What you don't see in that photo is the giant Welcome Back 2023 (or something like that) all in gold.

I'm not sure if it is EVERY one, but look at any picture posted by athletics this year. I don't remember ONE that didn't have slime in it. Even down to the weights in the weight room.

I'm not disagreeing. I am just saying the color of the balloons in the MSC is not an indicator.
