Which one-score loss would you like to have back?

That's an easy one to "take back" when it originally was taken from you.

But even taking back that game, we still don't go to a BCS bowl ... and I'm kinda hatin' on John for even pointing out that UConn 15-22 loss. Had a first and goal at the 5 with 2 minutes to go but couldn't punch it in. That could have changed the course of USF football dramatically ....... or not.

I don't think either of those two games impacted me as much as the Robbery at Rutgers.  You win some, you lose some.  You can lose fair and square even.  But, in the best interest and yet unsure outcomes of the program, yeah there could be others rated more significant.

One of the games I referenced was the "Robbery at Rutgers" ... but I get that different folks have different criteria for the game rankings. I was just using importance to the program overall.

The Rutgers game still makes me sick to my stomach thinking about it.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
