I'd consider WVU more of the friendly rivalry,

You werent' in our section for the WVU game obviously.

Definitely Louisville, we've more than got their attention for the next couple of years.  Each game, the home team has won.  We pooped on them our first year in CUSA and our first year in the Big East.  What more can you ask for.

F-UCF,  they're not even worth mentioning, this is a resume-rebuilding job for George O-liar-y.

i KNOW that UCF is a not as good as we are but...

FACE IT...

when this game rolls around next year you can BET that it will be the biggest media hyped game of the season...

what makes rivals?

media does.

So the media makes rivals? LMFAO!! I am sure the FSU-Miami, FSU-UF, Michigan-Ohio State, Alabama-Auburn rivalries were all made by the media.

The media hypes rivalries, it doesn't make them. The media will be hyping the UF-Tennessee game more than the USF-UCF game in 2006 since I believe they will be played on the same weekend.

There will be some press for the game against UCF next year, but the bigger media attention will come when we are set to play Louisville and WVU, both of whom should be Top 25 teams and the teams to beat in the Big East in 2006.

Rivalries are made on the field in great games, close games, games that decide Conference and National Title aspirations, games that are played each year. We have started that with Louisvile in the 3 games that have played. The same cannot yet be said with UCF.

and for all of you who think UCF isnt a rival?

ask a casual fan.

i am a DIE HARD bulls fan...but i am also aware of what is going on.

most other casual fans in florida put usf and ucf in the same ballpark

UCF and USF are obvious rivals.. not just from an athletic standpoint, but from an academic standpoint, a geographical standpoint, and a social standpoint.. ok, so we've kicked their asses in sports, but it doesnt change the fact that both schools are very similar and are only 1 hour away from each other..

the people who dont acknowledge UCF as a rival are just USF snobs that give the rest of us a bad name.. they dont consider them a rival because "eww.. we dont want to associate ourselves with that school".. but the fact remaining is that the same hatred that is channeled into snobbiness is the same hatred that they have for UCF-- hatred = rivalry
