Hello all . . . my daughter is currently a Soph and I discovered last year that college prep starts early. Would appreciate any thoughts and advice, things move quick.

She currently has a GPA of 4.5. Next year she'll be dual enrolled and taking AP classes (PreCalculus and Computer Science) and honors (Physics, English III, US History).

She plans to major with a Computer Science degree.

We'll be enrolling her with Ray Dass tutoring for the SAT prep over the summer and fall.

Sounds like she's in good hands.

Darn, ET.  Your daughter sounds very smart!

I understand that gene skips every other generation...😆

My daughter graduated USF in '04 so I don't know how up to date my advice would be except keep spending time with her now.  It goes very quickly.

My two were able to graduate from HS and get their AA at the same time. They got their AA (from Polk State) with a combination of AP credits and dual-enrollment classes.   It worked out great because they didn’t have to take the marginally useful classes the schools like to make freshmen take. Saved money also.

I don't know what high school your daughter goes to, but USF has a partnership with a number of the local high schools.

Appreciate.

She goes to Santa Fe Catholic in Lakeland, they partner with Barry University and Polk St.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
