I guess that’s part of what I don’t understand because Mike is in the NFL but the other guy is not. So how is the other guy actually better? Honest question

The other guy wasn't better.  The other guy was a scrambling QB which is what the HC wanted.  Mike White was a pocket passer that was always (and still is) more accurate and plays within the system.

Just depends what you are looking for in a QB.

Also what fits a system. A great college QB might not be a great NFL QB. When you don’t have a great OL and most colleges do not, a scrambling QB has more upside. When you get to NFL with better OL and defenses which make running difficult, a passing QB has a huge edge

The nfl has more scrambling qbs now then ever Mahommes ,  Jackson, and Hurts come to mind . The college game is more tailored to spread offense  or variations of the option with scrambling qbs though.

Yes but they are scrambling to pass, not to run. The NFL is a passing league.

We didn't have the OL to protect Mike White while Tags was still trying to run a pro-style offense. And when we made the switch to the GCO, Flowers was just obviously a way better fit.

Andrew Mataafa, LB from Utah, transfers to USF. Didn't see it posted so apologies if it's old news. 6'3", 225.

I think he was PWO he may be able to land on a scholarship. Good for both parties if we can bring in better players.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
