I think we can’t place too much stock in last years performances. Golesh has a completely different style of offense and pace. I think it’s an open competition because each QB needs to be evaluated for how Golesh WANTS to play and then decide how we CAN play. We cannot have a QB by committee, it never works. We said this last year and it was a disaster like it was the year before that and the year before that. By week 1, there has to be a commitment on one guy and you go from there. If by week 6, it’s been a disaster, then talk about making a change, but not before then.

No committee last year, GB until hurt then BB

Just making sure I wasn’t misremembering how last year was. Gerry was handed the reins and held them until hurt …. Although did KM come in a couple of times before GB went down?

He may have, kind of shocking I don’t remember, I am becoming less connected yearly and last year I missed more plays and entire games than the prior 10 years combined.

Yeah, I checked out last year after the Florida Game, but have been pretty checked out since Charlie Strong installed the "Slow Coast Offense"

Averaged 2.7 ypc but that probably included a ton of sneaks with some longer runs against FCS teams. What's weird is that he was qb the year we came closest to winning a conf title until Taggart, with maybe his worse year statistically ..... of course, that was Andre's first year here.

He had a good game when USF played TCU... that was a good game to watch...just sayin..

Man, looking that up, it must have been a helluva game ..... a 45-44 win in OT by the good guys.

We won 1 game so while both had their upside, I hope CAG can figure out who can produce wins. IDK it seems kind of silly to compare stats of QBs who didn’t win games.

Tom Brady could not have won with our defense.

That win over Howard was epic and worth the price of admission.  The memories of that win will last a lifetime.  The Bisons played with heart and kept it close but the good guys prevailed in the end, that team had grit and CjS coached them up and led the team to victory with stellar game preparation.

Win column ...

He had zero  passing TDS against Howard and won zero fbs wins.  Not sure you want to praise his effort during the Howard game. Looks pretty bad to be honest and not a good look for a qb1 against a FCS team.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
